But, rest assured, a consumer group is coming to the rescue! They’re requesting that the FDA require stronger warnings of the risks inherent in using Botox products.

Heath Ledger ~ What Ever Happened To A Warm Glass Of Milk ?

When the news broke about the tragic death of actor Heath Ledger, many people were shocked and saddened. But now that the news is breaking about exactly what caused Ledger’s death, many people are likely to be wondering if they could share a similar fate.

The initial autopsy on Ledger was “inconclusive,” but now the New York City medical examiner’s office has released toxicology reports revealing that Ledger died of “acute intoxication” from a combination of prescription medicines – two kinds of sleep aids, two anti-anxiety drugs, and two different painkillers. The official cause of Ledger’s death is now listed as “accidental overdose.”

It’s sad, of course. But many of the so-called “experts” who are quoted in the news stories are turning Ledger’s overdose into an object lesson on the dangers of mixing prescription medications. And how they’ve reached this conclusion is a little beyond me.

A License To Drug

How would you like an annual payment plan to make sure you get your yearly supply of prescriptions? You could pay one lump fee, or break it up into monthly payments.

So goes a proposal by a group of researchers who think selling you a drug “license” is a great way to keep you coming back for more. According to their proposal, patients would pay an annual license fee for their prescriptions. The researchers liken this plan to those of cell phone companies, or to purchasing computer software, or even all-you-can-eat buffets!

Sun Exposure Finally Declared Healthy

The fact that the sun is actually good for you isn’t exactly news these days. But in most cases, even people who recognize its benefits still say that they don’t override its harmful effects.

Until now.

A new study was recently released suggesting that the health benefits of the sun actually OUTWEIGH its risks—specifically the risk of skin cancer. Wow. That might be the closest they’ve ever gotten to getting it right.
